Looking for a July race? The Sidewinder 5K and 10K, slated for July 10, runs through Marion Bear Park in the center of San Diego. The Sidewinder starts at 7 AM at the Marion Bear Park parking area, located on the West side of Clairemont Mesa Blvd south of Highway 52.

The 5K and 10K alternate between single track, double track and 150 yards of single road, beginning with a small, approximately 1 mile loop before becoming an out-n-back. The 5K is a flat, fast out-n-back course, while the 10K features a few technical sections. The longer race will also feature 2-3 creek bed crossings. Although dry, they will be peppered with loose rocks so be forewarned.

Bay Hill Tavern will host the post-race party and awards ceremony and Dirt Devil Racing’s sponsor, Airdale Brewing Company, will provide beer. There is a $5 fee for the breakfast buffet—paid for at the time of registration—but the party is free for all. All runners will receive a commemorative beer glass with race logo and date of the event.
