Greg Billington is an amazing athlete. He is the number one ranked American in Triathlon and short of a disaster will be representing the USA in Rio De Jeneiro in the 2016 Olympics. Not only is Greg a spectacular athlete but he is coached by one of the best, Paulo Sousa. Given this you would think that Greg would be impervious to injury…..not so. Greg has struggled mightily with injuries including stress fractures. That is how I first met Greg. He was suffering from a hip fracture and the Olympic Training Center’s Anti Gravity Treadmill/ AlterGwas either broken or being used. Since Greg is a San Diego local and lives in Poway we arranged for him to run on the SDRI AlterG. Greg went on to have a great 2015 season and appears to be one step away from qualifying for the Olympics! I spoke with Greg about his training, his bid for the 2016 Olympic Team and how he has utilized the AlterG for rehabilitating injuries, preventing injuries and improving performance.
