Trifecta Red Light Table
What is Red Light Therapy and how does it work?
Red Light Therapy has been shown to help stimulate the various tissues of the body at the cellular level. Red light energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the mitochondria of the cells. This energizes the mitochondria and accelerates healing of damaged nerves and surrounding tissues. It does this in part by increasing the oxygenation of injured tissue. Red Light therapy dramatically increases cellular function.
Running and Sports Injury Clinic
The word “chiropractic” literally means ‘done by hand’ in Greek or ‘practice by hand’ in Latin. Dr. Allen is a San Diego Chiropractor that has been fixing San Diego runners and athletes “by hand” without drugs or surgery for 15 years. Many running and sports injuries can be fixed using simple and accurate diagnostic methods and treatment recommendations..

Featuring the State of the art AlterG – Anti-Gravity Treadmill
San Diego Running & Sports Injury Clinic is one of the few clinics in the area to utilize the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill, the world’s first and only treadmill using NASA based anti-gravity technology, designed help patients in their short-term rehabilitation programs.
Patients at SDRI can now rehab better, train smarter, and exercise safer with the AlterG. With the AlterG, patients can run and walk without bearing their entire weight, reducing the impact on the body to optimize rehabilitation and physical therapy outcomes. Its Differential Air Pressure (DAP)
technology applies a lifting force to the body that reduces weight on the lower extremities and allows precise unweighting – up to 80% of a person’s body weight, so people can find exactly where the pain stops and natural movement feels good again.
PRE AND POST WORKOUT
Red light penetrates deep into muscles and joints, increasing circulation, nutrient delivery, oxygenation as well as removal of toxins, and cellular repair. Athletes have experienced less muscle soreness, better muscle tone and faster post-workout recovery when using light therapy.
RED LIGHT FOR PAIN
Poor circulation and the lack of oxygen and ATP in blood vessels can cause pain and inflammation.
Red light will stimulate the release of nitric oxide, causing blood vessels to increase in size and allowing more blood flow while allowing more oxygen to be delivered to the cells. This increase in oxygen and nutrients, increases ATP production stimulating pain relieving effects and decreased inflammation. This can result in long-lasting healthy muscle and tissue repair in athletes.
RED LIGHT FOR RECOVERY
Red Light Therapy strengthens the body’s ability to recover and even speed up recovery time. With more production of ATP, cells can regenerate better and have the ability to withstand excessive athletic conditions. That means athletes can experience less downtime, reduced pain, more flexibility, and enhanced improvements.
Red Light Therapy is an imperative treatment for all athletes to heal and enhance their overall physical performance.
