Shin Splints are a Common Running Overuse Injury

1. The runner clearly had posterior tibialis tendonitis, better known as shin splints.......sometimes referred to as medial tibial stress syndrome. She did not have an "achilles issue". When the massuese did not know what was wrong she should have given advice to possibly rest until it does not hurt, see a doctor or even talk to the running coach.
